At The Dagoba Group, it is rare when we provide an open workshop due to the nature of our business. After our Chief Consultant’s article on Unconscious Bias was published in Diversity Executive magazine and one of our clients showcased our Unconscious Bias Interviewing and Selection workshop for their Linkage Diversity conference session, there was increased demand to “trial” the workshop. In the world of Diversity and Inclusion, it is commonplace for us to have non-disclosure agreements with our clients so it is near impossible for somebody to sit in on a client side workshop. The idea for a public workshop was decided.
Our clients like to have the development customized to their unique needs and culture. When the workshop reflects your vernacular, processes and style the attendees are able to walk away with a much higher return. Therefore we were a little hesitant about providing a public workshop which may not have this customization. However, we were pleasantly pleased to read and hear the reviews.
The workshop was attended by Fortune 500 as well as small business organizations. Industries represented were Pharmaceutical, Communication and Entertainment, Financial, Defense Manufacturing and Medical Device. 100% of the attendees “highly recommended” the workshop for their organization on their evaluation form.
Some of the quotes were: “It spoke to me.” “Loved that it was rooted in research.” “Thoroughly enjoyed.” “Definitely see this impacting outcomes.” “Exercises were realistic and incredibly helpful.”
The workshop is highly participatory, so the involvement of the participants was definitely a success element of the workshop. Hats off to the HUB conference facilities in Philadelphia for making sure all of the logistics from technology to catering went off without a flaw. If you would like to learn more about this or any other workshop, please feel free to contact us.
