The Dagoba Group Interviews Fortune 1000 Chief Diversity Officers on Their View of the Evolving Inclusion Industry
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PRLog (Press Release) – Nov 02, 2011 – The Dagoba Group has initiated a series of personal interviews with leading Chief Diversity Officers, CDOs, from Fortune 1000 companies to get their viewpoint of the evolving diversity and inclusion industry. It is estimated corporations worldwide spend $8 Billion a year on diversity and inclusion development. Although every F1000 company has at least one position with a D&I focus, the most recent stats show only 20 percent have created a CDO position.
D&I has moved beyond workforce compliance issues and into other functional groups such as supplier management and marketing. It has also evolved into creating an inclusive workplace to increase retention, innovation and employee attraction.
As a multitude of companies such as Frito Lay or MTV Networks track hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue directly to their D&I initiatives, the field’s reach and breadth is exploding. “To keep up with this quickly evolving industry, we thought it would be useful to stop, take a look back and understand where we are headed,” mentioned Mark Kaplan, Chief Diversity and Inclusion Consulting Officer for The Dagoba Group.
This interview series provides the personal viewpoint from those individuals charged with managing all aspects of the corporate D&I initiative for multi-billion dollar corporations with thousands of employees.
Each interview will be posted on the following schedule.
• Rosalyn Taylor O’Neale – Campbell Soup – November 7, 2011
• Nicole Johnson Reece – Aramark – November 14, 2011
• Neddy Perez – Ingersol Rand – November 28, 2011
• Romy Riddick -TD Bank – December 5, 2011
• Lily Benjamin – Broadridge – December 12, 2011
• Lynne DiStasio – MetLife – December 19, 2011
• Lorie Valle-Yanez – MassMutual – January 9, 2012
• Joelle Murchison Hayes – Travelers – January 16, 2012
The interviews will be published on The Dagoba Group website ( http://www.TheDagobaGroup.com ) and linked to various social media diversity practitioner discussion groups. Articles based on the outcomes of these interviews will also be published in leading D&I publications.
